Warren Knapp Art and Home is a contemporary Fine Art gallery showcasing the art of emerging and established artists. The gallery’s namesake, Warren Knapp, also shows his original work, while curating other artist’s work, to give each gallery visitor a wide variety of fine art to choose from. Located in Palm Desert, California, the gallery strives to showcase new talent and new ideas, coupled with a variety of fine art, sculpture and glass.

RESIDENT ARTISTS

 

Welcome artists to “Resident Artists” at  Warren Knapp Art  and Home in Palm Desert, California. As a gallery owner, my intention is to showcase a variety of art while bringing artists and collectors together. This hybrid concept of part Art Show, part Gallery, part Art Studio, is a great way to have artists show their work in an art gallery setting.

The Resident Artist gallery at Warren Knapp Art and Home is open 10:00am to 4:00pm Tuesday-Sunday, with a gallery art event show every two months.

Resident Artists  pay $395 per month with a two month minimum, paid at time of sign up.

Resident artists may submit up to five art pieces. Two small, two medium and one large, the large not to exceed approximately 36”x48” with hanging materials attached. This gives our collectors a variety of sizes and price points when adding your art to their collections.

Warren will hang all artists work in a general “Gallery Wall” fashion, where artists works will mingle with other artists works.

Artists works will be available for viewing at Warren Knapp Art and Home, Palm Desert and online at Warrenknapp.com

Interested collectors will be given the artists contact info and the artist will collect money for their art from the collector. Warren is passionate about connecting collectors and artists together with out the “wall” of a gallery owner separating the collector and artist.

Artists may switch out their art at anytime, have their work at other galleries or art shows or retail establishments, at anytime.

PROSPECTUS

 

Welcome everyone!  We are launching the 2024/2025 Resident Artists season with “Canvas”, inviting you to showcase the artwork you create.


TO APPLY:

  • Submit the form below.
  • Up to 5 artworks per Resident Artist will be accepted into the show.
  • Entry fee for this in-person show $395 per month x 2 months.
  • Pay with a major credit card in person at the gallery or we can eMail you an invoice via PayPal.


IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Submission Deadline: Saturday, August 31, 2024 by 6pm PDT
  • Drop Off: Week of August 25th to August 30th – 10am to 6pm
  • Show Opens: Sunday, September 1st – 10am-6pm
  • Opening Reception: To Be Announced
  • Show Closes: Thursday, October 31st, 2024 at 6pm
  • Pick Up Unsold Works: November 1, 2024 10am-6pm

 

ARTWORK MUST BE:

  • Wall-hung work must be no larger than 36″x48″ and must not be less than 12″ high. Resident artists may submit up to five art pieces. Two small, two medium and one large, the large not to exceed approximately 36”x48”.
  • Three-dimensional artwork cannot exceed 50 pounds or 72″ high by 48″ wide by 48″ deep and must be delivered ready for display.
  • Works that do not meet these size requirements may not be accepted on intake.
  • Artwork is limited to 2-and 3-dimensional work in any media.  No video work can be accepted at this time.
  • If AI (Artificial Intelligence) was used in the creation of your artwork, you must indicate it.
  • Unframed canvas must be gallery wrapped.
  • Works on canvas or other materials must be finished on the edges.
  • Make sure your work is clean and wiped down before dropping it off.
  • Ready for hanging or installation and professionally presented.

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Artwork must be wired for hanging. No saw-tooth hangers or ceiling mounts will be accepted.
  • No fees will be refunded after submission.


DROP OFF:

  • Artwork must be delivered to Warren Knapp Art and Home in Palm Desert by the artist or his/her agent.
  • Artwork shipped to Warren Knapp Art and Home will note be accepted.
  • Warren Knapp Art and Home cannot provide special handling for artwork.

 

PRICING, SALES, AND PICK UP:

  • Artwork must be available for sale.
  • Sale price is chosen by the Resident Artist.
  • The artwork’s price must be the same as on your website or as otherwise promoted.
  • Proceeds from any sale will be 100% to the Artist. Buyer pays Artist directly.
  • Buyers are responsible for picking up the artwork they purchase and for any shipping and all associated expenses for artwork after purchase. If the buyer is not in town to pick up their purchase the artist will be expected to assist with pick up and shipment/delivery.
  • The artist or his/her agent is responsible for picking up or shipping unsold works.


LEGAL AGREEMENT:

By submitting to Warren Knapp Art and Home, the artist acknowledges and agrees that he/she:

  • Has read and agrees to all conditions of entry.
  • Releases rights for use of images of his/her artwork in any Warren Knapp Art and Home promotional and marketing materials.
  • Is responsible for insurance for his/her artwork.  Neither the Warren Knapp Art and Home or its officers, directors, staff, or volunteers, nor anyone connected with Warren Knapp Art and Home will be responsible for loss or damage to artwork, however caused.  All exhibiting artists will be required to accept a liability waiver at the time of submission. 
  • Warren Knapp Art and Home reserves the right to refuse any artwork that is not acceptable quality, does not match the submitted entry image, or does not meet framing or finishing criteria, or any other requirements stated above.
